Yoga Tune Up® Therapy Ball Workshop
The Yoga Tune Up® Therapy Ball System provides targeted self-massage trigger point therapy by using specially designed high-grip rubber balls and focused movement routines that help penetrate through layers of skin and muscle to massage deeply into your high tension areas. This workshop will allow you to discover self-care techniques that will maintain and improve your strength and flexibility and prevent injuries. Core Integration: A Total Abdominal Awakening

In this workshop, students will learn a series of deeply-layered abdominal exercises that strengthen from the inside out. The therapy ball rolling and series of movement is specifically designed to break through the weakness and congestion in our hips caused by unhealthy habits in our modern lifestyles. This series of deep hip and psoas exercises strengthens you from the inside out and is designed to penetrate congested connective tissues, stimulate weak muscles, and release tension throughout your body.
Refine Your Spine
Back pain strikes most people at some point in their life, and can become chronic or even debilitating. Postural accommodations we make to avoid discomfort (or caused by scoliosis) which are then reinforced by gravity and habit can result in rotator cuff injuries, respiratory and thyroid dysfunction, not to mention slipped discs. This workshop will help you identify and recondition your spinal “blind spots.” We’ll target the upper, middle and lower back with myofascial massage and exercises designed to eliminate pain and improve your posture. You’ll leave with a new backbone and the know-how to keep it healthy!
Retrofit Your Downdog
Downward Facing Dog is one of yoga's core postures, but it's complexity is often taken for granted. This workshop deconstructs the pose so that the teacher/practitioner becomes familiar with common structural limitations. We warm up the soft tissues with YTU balls, we investigagate and improve each joint's range of motion and we incorporate YTU's signature structural stabilizing practices so that the day's first down dog is a stark contrast to the last down dog of the workshop.
